Om, Shanti, Shanti, Shanti, Peace.
Welcome to Yoga To You, bringing yoga classes to your home or business! We are based in the Boston area and are happy to travel within the metro area. We offer introductory hatha yoga classes, moderately paced hatha flow classes, and challenging ashtanga style power yoga classes. These are available wherever YOU are.
Yoga is an ancient system linking body, mind, and spirit with the universe. The word yoga means "to yoke" or "union". There are various branches of yoga, some which focus on physical postures, others which focus on spiritual practices. All branches emphathize the union of the individual with the self and with others.
Hatha Yoga is a physical yoga, or series of postures combined with breath, to link body, mind, and spirit. The postures are suitable for all levels, and can be done by anyone. There are various schools of hatha yoga, including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Viniyoga, Tri-Yoga, and Kundalini. Although the postures are physical, the physical practice of yoga is frequently seen as a gateway to personal and spiritual growth.
Benefits of Yoga include greater physical fitness, relaxation, body-mind-spirit union, better focus and concentration, spiritual growth, and stress reduction. Physical postures increase strength, endurance, flexibility, and focus in the present. Yoga can also lead to greater connection with the self, others, and the universe, a calmer and more fulfilling life, increased productivity at work, and better interpersonal relationships.
